SUNAQ AS management team consists of experienced professionals with expertise in floating solar PV, business development and product development. We are currently looking to expand our team with a CFO and CSO position.
Geir Arne Aarseth (CEO) is a serial entrepreneur in medical equipment, health services, and real estate development. He has extensive board experience and has a military background which includes training at the Royal Norwegian Navy’s Officer Academy, serving as an officer in the navy for several years, before perusing a career in the medical profession where he holds two master's degrees. Geir Arne’s experience in starting and developing business, as well as connections in the wide global network of suppliers and services, and the strong executional drive, provides SUNAQ to move fast and navigate efficiently.
Bjørn Helset (EVP) has 24 years of experience in technology and business development, focusing on IT, software design, renewable energy and digital broadcast. Worked with terrestrial systems like Netlink and Wimax and was part of the Norwegian MAROFF/MARCOM consortium from 2007-2010. He has extensive experience in designing and optimizing wind and solar power systems, with a strong focus on integrating these technologies into existing energy infrastructures. He is also skilled in managing large-scale projects, ensuring they meet technical specifications and deadlines. With a deep understanding of the energy needs and sustainability challenges in the aquaculture industry, Bjørn focuses on integrating solar power systems to enhance operational efficiency and environmental responsibility. Bjørn’s experience in off-grid analytics aligns well with addressing the unique energy requirements of the sector. Bjørn currently leads growth initiatives at SUNAQ AS by developing patents for the company's business.
Arnor Sigursvinsson (Chief Engineer) is a mechanical engineer and product developer with 20 years of experience, specialized in product development, product design and mass production. His expertise includes designing scalable constructions and products. Arnor has extensive experience in business development and strategic planning and as a board member in several companies involved in production. He is adept at driving growth through innovative solutions and aligning business strategies with market demands. Arnor's background includes significant work in the use of a wide range of materials and production processes, with a focus on creating solutions for complex challenges in the commissioning of new production. His skills are particularly relevant for integrating cutting-edge technologies into diverse business environments. He leads SUNAQ's R&D and engineering for floating solar projects and oversees the company's laboratory.
